These are some of my favorite windows. The acupuncture studio has 2 rooms. I used the same design, but reversed the image and used different glass. One room is the blue room and one is the green room. It’s amazing the difference having stained glass windows adds to the calming feeling of the space. If the owner ever moves, all she has to do is take clips out that are holding the windows and take them with her. In the future they could be framed in wood and hung in any window or room.
Stained Glass Window In Acupuncture Room
I’m so happy that I’ve had the opportunity to make a window for a space like this. Stained glass can evoke a serene and contemplative feeling and I think it’s a perfect fit for an acupuncture room where you want clients to feel comfortable and relaxed. The name of the business is River Point Acupuncture and so when I started thinking about the design, I wanted to reflect the name. I found an image of a river and went from there. What I didn’t expect that it would look so much like a female body. I love that about abstract design – different people seeing different things. For the 2nd room, I’m taking the image, reversing it and creating it in blues instead of greens.

Before Stained Glass Installation
Stained Glass Entryway Window Installation
Stained glass window installation is a lot easier than most people may realize. Most of the custom stained glass windows I install are fitted inside the existing glass windows and held in place with wood trim painted or stained to match the interior wood. This method preserved the energy efficient seal in existing windows and is also easy to remove if the homeowner wants to take the windows with them if they move. I’ve been working with Eloy for close to six years on installations. We are a good team. I trust him with my windows – which wasn’t easy at first because they take so much time to make!

Bathroom Update Featuring Custom Stained Glass Window With Rondels And Bevels
If I were to make a window for my bathroom, this would be it. I am a huge fan of rondels and this look in particular. When I met with the homeowners, the bathroom had an octagon window with a stained glass window in it that was like a stock window with no character. They replaced the window with a rectangular shaped window and I make the glass to fit. The design was a combination of things I heard from both the husband and wife about what they wanted. The window’s clear rondels let in a lot of light and distort so they don’t need to worry about the neighbors seeing in – one of the benefits of using stained glass!

Custom Order for Stained Glass Picture Frames
I was asked recently to make a series of picture frames to look exactly like picture frames in a picture that was emailed to me. I hadn’t made picture frames with larger sized glass gems, but I love how they turned out!
