My high school, Omaha Central High, recently had to replace the beautiful glass in their auditorium chandeliers because a lot of the panels had broken over the years. Fortunately they saved the old panels and asked me to think of ways I could reuse the glass for fundraising items and donor gifts. I ended up making a stained glass window for their fundraiser using purple nuggets and “C’s”. I also made a lot of hearts with a little “C” hook and jewels in the middle. I loved being able to contribute to my school in this way!
I’ve been busy getting ready for our bi-annual Spring Open House. I thought I’d share some sneak peek photos of the gifty items I’ve been making. I’ll be working on the custom window that I’ve posted and my talented apprentice, Janice Batt, who has made a lot of the abstract suncatchers will be demonstrating as well as helping out this weekend. Hope you can make it!
